Today marks the beginning of a new stage in my life. As of today, I am starting a new position at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences as a Professor of Cybersecurity. After more than 15 years in the InfoSec industry, I feel that now is the right time to take this step.

Over the past few years, acquaintances from various branches have often expressed how difficult it is to find new talent in the field of cybersecurity. The ever-increasing prominence of cybersecurity in recent years has made the situation increasingly worse. And so I would now like to make my modest contribution to improving the situation. My mission is to turn fresh minds into skilled cybersecurity specialists who are ready to help solving the challenges of our time.

Likewise, I am looking forward to taking on more research again in an inspiring environment and to collaborating with old and new peers along the way. I am full of ideas and hopefully I will soon find the time to explore and realize them.
